For many of us Saturday December 17th, 2016 was just another day in Chautauqua County, but for Lois Crowl it was a special day. Lois Crowl and her daughter Julie Ann Roberts received an all expenses paid spa day at Salon 1. Then Lois was also treated to a shopping spree at Christopher & Banks, where Lois got to pick out a few new outfits. They ended the day at Olive Garden enjoying a lovely meal with Lois’ grandson, Robert Bloom.
This day of fun and relaxation and special bonding time with her daughter was Lois’ dream and it was all made possible because Lois has been diagnosed with cancer. The Dream Foundation’s mission is to serve terminally-ill adults and their families by making end-of-life dreams happen that offer inspiration, comfort and closure. This was a dream come true for Lois and Julie because they had never experienced a whole day of quality time together.
“We had so much fun watching each other get a new look and going shopping for new outfits,” said Lois’ daughter, Julie. “This day will never be forgotten and we owe all the thanks to Emily Myrick from Dream Foundation and Carna Pierce from Chautauqua Hospice & Palliative Care. Thank you ever so much!”
