For the 10th year in a row our friends at the Lake Chautauqua Memorial Veterans of Foreign Wars had provided generous support to Chautauqua Hospice & Palliative Care. This year’s Don’t Know Your Partner Bowling Tournament raised $5,300. The ten-year total of their support for Hospice now stands at $41,100.
“We are already looking forward to the 11th event next year and anticipate your continued support.” Ladies Auxiliary President Debbie Cenni donated $500.00 to the tournament that was raised from their Chinese auction and bake sale.
76 kegglers who tried their best to stay out of the gutters! Special thanks to Jim Schultz and Jim Thomas who sold 50/50 tickets at the alley and Aimee Cessna, Eileen Powers and Debbie Pratt who prepared food back at the club for the hungry athletes.
The first place keggler team with a score of 971 was Dave Johnson and Heather Freeburg, second place with 925 was Andy Anderson and Jerry Parker, and third place went to Amy Montgomery and Scott Johnson with 899. Highest three-game score of 577 was rolled by Scott Johnson and Kyle Siebert took the consolation score of 103!
Special prize drawings were won by: Bryan Mentley, lottery hat; Cookie Boser hand-crafted sun catcher; Andy Anderson, flat screen TV; and Staci Bemus, bird house.
